Boom Sherrin’s Response to the QLD Flood Crisis

Jan 19, 2011 2:46PM AEST

As the flood waters subside, Boom Sherrin is working to assist communities in the rebuilding phase across Regional and South East Queensland. Boom Sherrin has begun several initiatives to assist firms during this rebuilding phase.

Boom Sherrin has donated plant to the Brisbane City Council deemed most useful for the current phase of flood clean-up efforts in and around the greater Brisbane and Ipswich metropolitan area.  This plant includes lighting towers, a mobile pressure washer, an industrial air compressor and an 11m material handler.

Boom Sherrin is also offering minimum hire rates across Queensland to all registered Australian charities and not-for-profit organisations where equipment hire is directly involved in the clean up or restoration of flood damaged property or infrastructure.  This discount offer will apply to all equipment hire up until 1 February 2011.  An extension of the duration of this offer and location to other regions across Eastern and Southern Australia impacted by flood waters may be made closer to this date.

Boom Sherrin would also like to encourage people to consider donating to the flood appeal charities posted on our quick links page.
